About Me

I'm Ty DeTiberus — tech cowboy, coach, author, performer, and proud husband, father, and grandpa.

With over 30 years of experience in technology training, I've worked with Fortune 500 companies including DHL, IBM, and AT&T, helping bridge the gap between complex technology and real people. Today I bring that same passion to my community as a tech coach at the New Port Richey Library, where I help learners of all skill levels feel confident and empowered in an increasingly digital world.

I'm the author of an AI prompting textbook designed to help everyday people get honest, useful results from artificial intelligence — without getting fooled by it. That same mission inspired me to co-create AI Lies!, an educational comedy show I perform alongside my husband Doug DeTiberus. The show uses live AI demonstrations, improv, and audience participation to expose how AI systems hallucinate, flatter, fabricate, and mislead — and what you can actually do about it.

When I'm not on stage or in the classroom, you'll find me producing Sing Your Heart Out, a fundraising karaoke series supporting Project No Labels and Emerge NGC — two organizations doing meaningful work for inclusion and community building.

My approach has always been the same: make technology human, make learning fun, and leave people with something real they can use tomorrow.
